Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AB Dock

Getting Started & Setup

How do I connect AB Dock to my Amazon Business account?

An Amazon Business Account Admin for your company is needed to connect your AB Dock account to Amazon Business. Once they Sign Up, they'll simply click "Connect Amazon Business" and sign in with their Amazon Business username and password. That's it!

How long does it take to set up AB Dock and start seeing my deliveries?

Get started in as little as 2 minutes. Most teams are up and running in under 10 minutes. Once you connect your Amazon Business account, your delivery data syncs automatically. Add your receiving addresses, invite your team, and you're ready to go.

What Amazon Business role do I need to set up the connection?

You'll need an Account Admin on your Amazon Business account to authorize the connection. Other roles like Finance, IT, or Buyer can't complete the setup — but once connected, your receiving team doesn't need any Amazon Business role at all. That's the point!

Can I try AB Dock before committing? What's included in the trial?

Yes! Every address gets a 14-day free trial with full access to everything — no features held back. Take it for a spin and see how much easier receiving can be.

Why should I use AB Dock instead of giving my team Amazon Business Analytics access?

Amazon Business Analytics requires Admin or Finance roles — which means your team sees way more than they need (pricing, tax info, payment details) and may get contacted by Amazon about invoices or late payments. Plus, Analytics doesn't filter by address and takes several clicks and filters to get what you need.

AB Dock gives your team exactly what they need — and nothing they don't. Filter by address, carrier, or purchaser. Search by PO number. Update status from your phone. It's simple, fast, and keeps your team focused on the job at hand.

How do I get help if I have questions?

Click "Help" at the bottom of the menu on your dashboard or email help@abdock.com to reach our support team. We're real people and we're happy to help.

Features & Daily Use

How often does AB Dock sync with Amazon Business?

AB Dock automatically syncs with Amazon Business at least once per day. No manual work on your end — just open the dashboard and your deliveries are there.

Can I filter deliveries by carrier, purchaser, or address?

Absolutely. Select only the addresses you want to view and use the filters at the top of the dashboard to narrow down by carrier (helpful when FedEx just pulled up) or purchaser (great when someone asks "where's my order?").

How do I search for a specific order or PO number?

Just enter the PO number in the "Search PO #..." field and AB Dock will find it instantly — no scrolling through hundreds of rows.

How does the mobile package scanning work?

Click "Scan Packages" in the menu and a QR code appears on your screen. Scan it with your phone's camera — no app download needed. Your phone opens a mobile-friendly view where you can scan shipping labels (or type in tracking numbers) and update delivery status right from the dock. Simple.

What delivery statuses can I track?

Three options: Not Received, Partially Received, or Received in Full. For partial deliveries, you can enter the quantity received. Received in Full and Not Received automatically update the received quantity so you don't have to.

What carriers does AB Dock support?

AB Dock shows deliveries from all carriers Amazon Business uses, including Amazon Logistics (AMZL), UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and OnTrac. If Amazon has the tracking info, you'll see it in AB Dock.

Addresses & Locations

What counts as an "address" for billing purposes?

An address is your physical delivery location — like "123 Main St, Chicago, IL." Variations like Suite numbers, Dock numbers, or "ATTN: Receiving" all count as the same address, so you're only billed once.

How does AB Dock handle address variations like Suite numbers or "ATTN:" lines?

AB Dock automatically recognizes that "123 Main St, Suite 200" and "123 Main St, ATTN: Warehouse" are the same place. All variations are grouped together under one address — no extra setup needed.

Can I add multiple receiving locations to one account?

Yes! Add as many addresses as you need. Each address is its own subscription, and you can add or remove locations anytime.

What if my site acts as Central Receiving for multiple locations?

If a site acts as Central Receiving for multiple locations, each of those locations will need to have an active subscription. Your team can then select all of those locations to view in a single dashboard.

Users & Permissions

Who on my team should have access to AB Dock?

Typically, your receiving team and anyone who needs visibility into incoming deliveries. Finance can view POs in AB Dock to check if all items were received before making payment. Procurement and Supply Chain can view delivery performance by carrier and location, as well as quickly view items being ordered across sites and by specific users.

Can I limit a user to only see deliveries for their specific location?

Anyone on the account can filter to just their location or view other locations subscribed to on the account.

How do team members log in?

After they've accepted their invitation, they just enter their email on the Login page and we immediately send them a sign-in link. No passwords to remember, reset, or manage.

Billing & Pricing

How much does AB Dock cost?

$25 per address, per month. That covers unlimited users, all features, and ongoing syncs with Amazon Business. No hidden fees.

Can different locations have different payment methods?

Yes. You can use one payment method for multiple addresses (shared billing) or assign separate payment methods to individual locations. Mix and match however works best for your organization.

What happens when my free trial ends?

Your subscription starts automatically, and we'll charge the payment method on file. If you decide AB Dock isn't for you, just cancel before the trial ends — no charge, no hassle.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Simply click the "Cancel" button next to the address and that's it. Paid subscriptions continue through the end of the current billing cycle while free trials end immediately.

Security & Data

What Amazon Business data does AB Dock access?

Only what your receiving team needs: Carrier, Tracking #, PO #, Purchaser Email, Ship To, Item Name, Item Qty, Order ID, and Expected Delivery Date. Receivers don't see pricing, tax information, or payment details — that stays in Amazon Business where it belongs.

Is my data secure? Who can see my company's delivery information?

Only the team members you invite can see your delivery data. We don't share your information with third parties. Your data is yours.
